Bertha Park is one of Scotland’s newest neighbourhoods — a planned community on the northern edge of Perth, taking shape household by household. Here’s the place, the people, and everything on your doorstep.
Bertha Park is a planned community being developed by Springfield Properties. When complete it will include over 3,000 homes built over a 30-year period — modern, energy-efficient housing alongside green spaces, walking trails, and community amenities. Today it’s home to 600+ households and growing.
Whether you were one of the very first residents to pick up your keys or you’ve just moved in, we are incredibly glad to have you here.
Bertha Park isn’t just a collection of modern houses; it’s a growing village designed for the future. From our small band of local businesses, to the peaceful backdrop of Bertha Loch and ancient woodlands, our community offers the perfect balance of countryside living right on the edge of Perth.
As a residents group, our goal is simple: to help our community thrive. This website is your go-to hub for community updates, local news, and connecting with your neighbours. The Residents’ Group also hold meetings every two months which are open to all residents to come along and to contribute to the development of the area. These meetings take place in The Hub, 15 Adamson Avenue, Bertha Park - opposite the entrance to the High School.
A Place for Everyone: We are proud to be a truly diverse community, including private family homes, social housing, and dedicated rental options.
Built for Families: We are lucky to have the state-of-the-art Bertha Park High School right on our doorstep—a global leader in digital learning as part of Microsoft’s Flagship Schools program. Plus, with the new primary school scheduled to open in August 2029, our village is a fantastic place for children to grow up.
Active and Connected: Whether you’re walking the dog by the River Almond, playing with the kids at our play park, or cycling along National Cycle Network Route 77 straight into the Perth city centre, there is always a reason to get outside.
Growing Infrastructure: With our local convenience store, pharmacy, bakers/cafe and takeaway options already established, the community continues to evolve. Exciting infrastructure milestones like the nearby Destiny Bridge and the newly opened Bertha Park Link Road mean we are better connected to the region than ever before.
A great community with strong collaboration, environmentally focused, and supportive — everyone’s contributions are valued, and success is shared rather than individualised. — Community Vision Statement

The Hub at 15 Adamson Avenue (opposite the High School) is the heart of our community. Supervised by Craigie & Moncrieffe Church of Scotland (SC01330), who invested a six-figure sum improving the facility, The Hub hosts a full programme of weekly activities — from preschool groups and youth clubs to exercise classes and lunch clubs.
The Hub is available for community hire at £20 per hour. To enquire about booking, email [email protected], or see what’s on this week.
